I use my own version of the “Appleseed” processor which utilizes an electric water heater as a reaction vessel. I describe here my use of that basic system, including my modifications. Another great reference on homebrewing is the the Biodiesel Homebrew Guide by Girl Mark who came up with this system- see my links section and links for other good references. Kits for building this type of processor can be obtained at b100supply.com or UtahBiodieselSupply.com. The kits come with all the components required to convert a water heater into a great processor (you supply the water heater). The owners of both b100supply and utahbiodieselsupply are extremely helpful, and their sites are packed with information, pictures, videos, examples of peoples' projects, you-name-it. There is also a lot of great information throughout the web. The forums are also very useful and you will find that there are varying opinions about many parts of the process.
