National Biodiesel Board.

Federal tax incentive information. This is a tax credit going into effect now (spring 05) that allows blenders to receive a one penny per gallon tax credit for each gallon of biodiesel blended into petroleum diesel. There is also an income tax credit that can be taken for B100 suppliers.

NW Biodiesel Network in Seattle. Ground Zero for the Seattle area biodiesel community. Monthly meetings are the last Tuesday of each month at the Phinney Neighborhood Center. Sign up for their announce and discussion lists.

Dr. Dan's Alternative Fuel Werks. The site for Seattle's great retail supplier of high quality biodiesel and also compressed natural gas. Includes station locator so you can find biodiesel on trips. Dan is also a great mechanic and a wealth of information on biodiesel.

Breathable Bus Coalition. A group that seeks to have school districts use biodiesel in their school buses. Based in Seattle.

Puget Sound Clean Cities Coalition. Probably the best site for local information about biodiesel issues in the Northwest (and information on other alternative fuels). Includes updates on legislation, success stories, grant opportunities, reports, regulations, news, and upcoming events. Linda Graham, who directs this organization, is a great resource for biodiesel advocacy or general questions.

Comparison of biodiesel to ultra low sulfur diesel. Displays data for major pollutants, showing that biodiesel even at only 20% shows greater emissions reductions than ULSD.

Climate Solutions. A wonderful organization that advocates for clean air in Puget Sound.

Harvesting Clean Energy. A Climate Solutions program to promote renewable energy in rural WA.

B100 Supply: Homebrew Supplies and Equipment. Labware, reactor kit, titration kit, safety supplies, quality control tests.

It is the clearest and best laid out book I've seen. It's a little cheaper to download here. You'll find a few other tips at the next two sites below.

Utah Biodiesel Supply. They have everything you'll need, and are nice folks! Excellent plans with clear photos for building an Appleseed. Also carry the superb BioPro automated processors.

Local B100.com is Girl Mark's website that contains lots of great how-to information and links, including to her book on how to build reactors of almost any shape and size.

Appleseed Reactor open source plans. By Girl Mark, an expert in homebrewing. Probably the best and safest method of homebrewing. This site has great pics and diagrams to show you how to build a reactor out of a water heater. Note that this thread continues with a couple more pages, including wiring information.

Hayden's site about TDI's and his simple biodiesel production method. The best thing about Hayden is that he responds quickly to emails and he can answer almost any question you might have about TDI's or biodiesel. His processor is similar to mine, and, like me, he also doesn't wash his biodiesel, and has over 60,000 successful miles running his homebrew in his '98 Jetta.
